Located on the outskirts of one of the most popular and visited villages in Andalusia, the exclusive ‘blue village’ chosen by Sony to create the setting for the Smurfs movies! Visitors come to this village year-round!

Ten years ago, a Spanish-American couple bought a small guesthouse and restaurant and transformed it into the charming property full of character it is today.

This historic property oozes character, with the restaurant being a very popular destination for locals, used for weddings, communions, and any celebrations, as well as for tourists visiting. The food served here is truly excellent, as co-owner Ivan is a passionate and talented chef who creates menus of the highest quality.

The building's design has been cleverly thought out to ensure the hotel section is separate from the restaurant.

A bougainvillea-covered courtyard with cobbled floors leads hotel guests through old wooden doors to the hotel reception. For hotel guests, there is a private lounge with a wood stove for winter nights. On the two upper floors, there are eight very large guest bedrooms, all featuring characteristic elements such as wooden beam ceilings and wood stoves. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and access to outdoor terraces with superb panoramic views of the countryside.

On the first floor, there is a large multi-purpose room, which has effectively been designed as a yoga studio or art exhibition space. This room is spacious and bright, with a full mirrored wall, making it perfect for yoga, but it could equally be used for an active group or as a corporate meeting room.

Unusually for a village hotel, this property has a beautiful walled garden with a large swimming pool. The mature garden has wonderful old trees and attractive outdoor dining and sunbathing areas.

The restaurant and bar is almost a business in its own right, as it has high income and is largely the heart of the village. The bar and café area is divided into two parts. On one side, there is a very lovely ‘tea lounge’ with decorated tables, a fireplace, and a bakery serving delicious homemade cakes and chocolates, a specialty of the chef. The bar area and front patio are popular for enjoying a drink and the views! The main restaurant is at the back of the property, a room full of character with a fireplace, wooden beam ceilings, and a really special Andalusian charm.

To service all this, there is a fully equipped commercial kitchen with large storage areas.

OWNER’S ACCOMMODATION: On the first floor of the property and at the back of the yoga studio, there is a very spacious 2-bedroom apartment for the owner. It offers a large open-plan living and dining area with a fireplace, two large double bedrooms, and a bathroom. There is ample space to install another kitchen, but the owner never felt the need for one!
